Become an RTO

High-quality vocational education and training (VET) is vital to Australia’s economic prosperity. VET provides the skills and knowledge that students need to contribute positively to the national workforce.

Registered training organisations (RTOs) are education providers approved by ASQA to deliver VET courses.

Organisations cannot advertise, offer to provide, deliver or assess VET courses until registered and listed on the national register, training.gov.au.

It is an offence to advertise or offer VET services unless you are a registered RTO.

This short animated video provides an overview of how to become an RTO.

Before applying to become an RTO, you will need to complete several compulsory steps.

Submit your application via asqanet.

Applications undergo rigorous assessment to ensure applicants are able to meet all required standards and obligations.
